History of IASS

The International Agriculture Students Symposium (IASS) programme has been held six (6) times since 2009. This programme was held successfully by Student Association Faculty of Agriculture (PERMATANI) with the collaboration of the management of Agriculture Faculty, and students affairs department of Universiti Putra Malaysia, to give an opportunity to the local students and international students in term of gaining new knowledge and exchanging information related to agriculture. Each of the programme sessions of IASS that was held has a different theme for each year. The number of participants who joined throughout this programme being held were 43 participants from the local university and over 195 participants from international university. International universities which were involved in the programme were from Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Philippines, Switzerland, Thailand and Vietnam.
